Install · 1.2.5

Install the client

For 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The installer includes the .NET runtime; the interface needs the WebView2 runtime, which Windows 11 has and Windows 10 is prompted to download if it's missing. Every version lists what changed.

Prices in your language's currency; crypto payments on several networks.

The License page shows prices in the currency of the UI language, as the website does. Outside mainland China you can pay in a stablecoin: USDT or USDC, on one of the networks the server has turned on.

  • 64-bit Windows 10 / 11
  • Needs the WebView2 runtime (included in Windows 11)
  • One activation code per computer

Steps

Install it and you're ready.

If Windows asks whether to run the installer, confirm and carry on.

  1. Run the installer

The first time, read and accept the disclaimer, then follow the prompts; a desktop shortcut is optional. If the program is open, close it before installing.

  2. Open the client

There's no server address to fill in. Once installed, open it from the Start menu or the desktop.

  3. Enter an activation code

You can also just open it and look around. Downloading data needs a valid activation code, one per computer. To try it first, request a trial code on the Messages page.

  4. Check the two folders

One holds downloaded data, the other your exports. You can change where both are.

  5. Updates from then on

When there's a new version the client tells you, and once you confirm it downloads and installs it itself. Updating from an older version doesn't ask about the agreement again.

Release notes

What changed in each version.

Only the latest version can be downloaded; older versions keep just their notes here, and those marked as no longer supported can't be activated. Uninstalling the client doesn't delete the files you've exported.

1.2.5Prices in your language's currency; crypto payments on several networks.Latest

The License page shows prices in the currency of the UI language, as the website does. Outside mainland China you can pay in a stablecoin: USDT or USDC, on one of the networks the server has turned on.

  • The plans on the License page are priced in the UI language's currency: yuan in Chinese, US dollars in English, yen in Japanese, won in Korean and euros in Spanish, the same as the website. Pay by QR code and “I have paid” still take yuan, and now say how much.
  • Outside a Chinese UI you can pay with crypto, on the networks and in the coins the License page lists: TRON takes USDT only, Base USDC only, and Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and Solana take both. Pick the network, then the coin.
  • A crypto payment is the US dollar price plus 0.01 to 0.99 that identifies your order. The payment page names the network, the coin, its token contract and the address, and the code is issued once the transfer arrives.
  • A Chinese UI does not offer crypto payment.

1.2.4Download routes, with an automatic switch when one fails.

Downloads now have two routes: from mainland China you use the Mainland China route, from anywhere else the route outside mainland China. If one route fails, the download moves to the other and carries on.

  • Settings has a new Network → Download route option: Automatic, Mainland China or Outside mainland China. Automatic is the default and picks the route from where you connect to the server; the route outside mainland China is used once the server turns it on.
  • When a route keeps failing, the download moves to the other route and carries on without fetching finished days again; in Automatic mode, later downloads in the same run start on that route too. A route you picked yourself also gives way when it cannot connect, so the download can finish.
  • A short network drop does not trigger a switch, and failures while a task is paused do not count.
  • When the storage service returns an error, the message suggests picking another route in Settings; when both routes fail, it asks you to check your network, proxy or firewall.
  • The download log names the route each download used: only the route's name, never an address.
1.2.3Steadier, faster exports; imports copy less.

This release fixes what a full review found: files held by another program or a dropped connection no longer lose settings or hang; exports and imports are faster; export file names are the same in every interface language.

  • The time zone in export file names is now a fixed English tag, the same in every interface language, for example GMT+8_No_DST. With a Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Spanish interface, the next export writes a new file name and the old file is not overwritten.
  • Symbols with huge volumes (such as PEPE and SHIB) export their real volume to MT4, MT5, NinjaTrader and cTrader instead of stopping at 2147483647.
  • China A-share 1-minute bars in MT4, MT5 and the other platform formats are stamped with the bar's open: 240 bars a day (9:30–11:29, 13:00–14:59). Generic CSV is unchanged.
  • When a target file is open in Excel, the export asks you to close that file first, and the earlier exports are never left half replaced.
  • MT4 and MT5 imports move files instead of copying them, saving a multi-GB copy; a Python import no longer overwrites a notebook you edited, and undo brings it back.
  • Antivirus or backup software briefly holding the login file no longer loses the stored data keys, and activating a new code during a download no longer makes that download fail.
  • An update download that receives nothing for 60 seconds now fails as a network error and resumes on the next click; old installers are cleaned up.
  • If the window cannot be shown, the app says so and exits instead of leaving a blank window; at start-up, task states and log lines are no longer mixed up or shown twice.
  • Prices in the English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish interfaces read CN¥, and the update banner shows its notes in the interface language.
1.2.2Binance and A-share files are named like forex.

Downloaded Binance and A-share data is now stored like forex: one file per day in the month folder, with no folder per day. Files are renamed on first start, with nothing downloaded again.

  • Binance and A-share day files use the same names as forex, and no file name says the data format any more.
  • Files downloaded by an older version are renamed on first start; ones already verified are not verified or downloaded again, and a file that could not be renamed is still read and exported.
  • The MT5 import hint now says the TickData group under Custom instead of a path.
1.2.1Downloads and exports can run at the same time, and exports are faster.

Downloads and exports queue separately and run together; Binance and A-share exports are about 4.5 times faster. Forex files in the cache have a new file name and are renamed automatically on first start, with nothing downloaded again.

  • Downloads and exports have two queues: a download no longer waits for an export to finish. Settings can switch back to running one task at a time.
  • Binance and A-share exports read and parse the next few days ahead, about 4.5 times faster; busy tick days are written in parts and use less memory.
  • Small forex files download 12 at a time, over HTTP/2 when the server supports it; an installer update that is interrupted resumes.
  • The Data page shows the last saved symbol list first; when the server can't be reached for a while, data already on this PC can still be exported and imported.
  • Exported H4 and W1 bars line up with the chosen time zone, and MT4 weekly bars start on Sunday; cTrader exports now use an M1 format its backtester can read.
  • Diagnostics are never sent until you clearly agree.
1.2.0A new client, with forex stored by the day.

The interface was rebuilt: the first start is a single guide, then Data, Tasks, Import, License and Settings each get a page. Forex data is now one file per day; 1.1.x is no longer supported and you need this version to activate and download.

  • The Data page shows the date range already on this PC and previews prices; the Tasks page shows progress, retries and logs; Ctrl+K finds symbols fast.
  • One-click import into MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, AmiBroker, Excel and Python. Files that get replaced are backed up first, and an import can be undone.
  • Forex has 40 symbols, one file per UTC day. Downloads run day by day in parallel and are verified; after an interruption, click again to carry on from the first unfinished day. Hourly forex files from older versions are no longer used and must be downloaded again.
  • The License page shows the payment steps and QR codes; the Help & feedback page shows our replies.
  • Needs the WebView2 runtime: Windows 11 has it, and Windows 10 is prompted to download it if it's missing. Still for 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
1.1.3Accept the agreement before installing.

The first install asks you to read and accept the disclaimer. Automatic updates from an older version no longer ask.

  • The installer shows the disclaimer first and only continues once you accept it.
  • Automatic updates from an older version no longer ask: you already agreed when you first installed.
  • Still for 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The installer includes everything it needs to run.
  • Activation is unchanged: one activation code for one computer.

No longer supported and cannot be activated. Please install the latest version.

1.1.2Older versions update directly.

When the client finds a new version, it downloads and installs it once you confirm, with no need to open the website.

  • You're told when your version is too old or a new one is out. Click OK to download the installer, then open the client again once it's installed.
  • The installer is only downloaded from the server you're using.
  • Still for 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The installer includes everything it needs to run.
  • Activation is unchanged: one activation code for one computer.

No longer supported and cannot be activated. Please install the latest version.

1.1.1One icon, and two separate folders.

The program, the installer and the website share the same dark price-line mark. If the download folder and the export folder ever ended up in the same place, this version separates them when it opens.

  • The window, the taskbar and the installer use the same icon as the website.
  • When the two folders are the same or one is inside the other, they are split into a download folder and an export folder at start-up, so deleting downloads can't take your exports with them.
  • Still for 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The installer includes everything it needs to run.
  • Activation is unchanged: one activation code for one computer. Plans cover the same as in 1.1.0.

No longer supported and cannot be activated. Please install the latest version.

1.1.0The first version you can install.

Install the client on 64-bit Windows, get historical forex, Binance and A-share data for your plan, and export it to CSV or MT4.

  • Open it as soon as it's installed: there's no server address to fill in.
  • Downloaded data and exported files go into two separate folders by default, and you can change where both are.
  • Trial, single symbol and all markets decide which symbols you can use. Prices and differences are on the pricing page.
  • An activation code is tied to one computer. To change computers, tell us under Help & feedback in the client or on the site's Messages page.

No longer supported and cannot be activated. Please install the latest version.
